Fiona is an award-winning textile artist with a lifelong passion for fibres, fabric, and thread. Fiona brings a deeply personal and imaginative approach to everything she creates. Her distinctive work, often featuring animals and flowers crafted from wet-felted wool and brought to life with free-motion machine embroidery, blends technical skill with her artistic intuition.
For her, the creative process is an alchemy of experience and emotion: “The world goes in through your eyes, percolates down through your brain, filters through your heart and then comes out of your fingers… picking up a little bit of you on the way.” And it is that “little bit of you,” she believes, that makes a work truly unique, something no one else can replicate.
