Cynthea Gregory was initially trained as an art teacher at Reading University; then retrained at Brunel in Design and Technology.
Cynthea draws her inspiration from the landscapes and coasts of East Devon. She loves to explore the area, finding suitable subjects, making sketches, and taking a library of reference photographs. Back in her studio, she creates her paintings, either working in watercolour, or acrylic. Her acrylic canvases are stylised and semi-abstract, but the scenes recognisable. In particular, she is attracted by water, be it the sea, rivers, canals, or wetlands. She loves to share the atmosphere and mood of her discoveries using her vibrant colour palette.
Cynthea is proud to have recently held a solo and several small group exhibitions. This year one piece of her artwork was awarded ‘best acrylic in the art show’ by two different local art groups.
Vivienne Littley uses a mix of acrylics, inks and watercolours, often incorporating iridescent, metallic and textured mediums to create shifting light and depth that change with the viewer’s perspective.

Mary is intensely interested in texture and this tends to dominate her more recent work. Her colour palette is often limited, instead using texture as the emphasis. Her more recent work has seen a movement towards collage and collagraphs, the latter being prints made from a collaged plate.
Jane Spencer is a skilled and highly versatile artist using a wide range of media, from oils and acrylic paints to tapestry and needlecraft.
