Jane is a Lyme resident and is primarily a textile artist, but also uses other mediums.
She loves the tactile textural effect of using textiles and fibre and textiles in her art. She experiments with a variety of textiles and techniques including needle-felting and wetfelting fibres and ‘drawing’ with her sewing machine. She inspired by the landscapes and seasons and their effect on nature.
Vivienne Littley uses a mix of acrylics, inks and watercolours, often incorporating iridescent, metallic and textured mediums to create shifting light and depth that change with the viewer’s perspective.
Fiona Gill is an award-winning textile artist with a lifelong passion for fibres, fabric, and thread. Fiona brings a deeply personal and imaginative approach to everything she creates.
Mary is intensely interested in texture and this tends to dominate her more recent work. Her colour palette is often limited, instead using texture as the emphasis. Her more recent work has seen a movement towards collage and collagraphs, the latter being prints made from a collaged plate.
Jane Spencer is a skilled and highly versatile artist using a wide range of media, from oils and acrylic paints to tapestry and needlecraft.
